Kindergarten: Building Future-Ready Leaders

Posted Date: 11/05/26 (08:48 AM)

At Riverview, our vision is to create a culture of college and career readiness for every student in our K–8 community—and that foundation starts on day one by building those skills!

Today, Ms. Ott’s Kindergarten class took a huge step toward their future by setting a shared class goal: growing their MAP scores in Math!

To reach their goal, these young scholars worked together to build an action plan. Here are some of the brilliant strategies our Kindergarten team came up with:

✨ "Listen to the questions carefully." ✨ "Keep trying." ✨ "Look at all your choices." ✨ "Practice counting more." ✨ "Practice dragging and dropping items on the screen." ✨ "When you get to the hard questions, don't give up."

Learning how to set goals is a lifelong skill that will serve these students through school, college, and their future careers. Way to lead the way, Ms. Ott's class!
